Leading the way in sustainable performance ARANIA obtains the EcoVadis Gold Medal
After obtaining the silver distinction last year, this summer ARANIA has received the EcoVadis Gold Medal, earning a score that places our company in the top 5% of the assessed companies. With this valuable distinction underpinned by a remarkable score in the sustainability performance overview, ARANIA certifies its progress on the right path towards the sustained promotion of economic growth, social development and environmental protection.
This summer ARANIA was awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal, a recognition that is only accorded to the top 5% of the companies evaluated by this renowned organisation.
This achievement underlines the importance of sustainability as a key driver of ARANIA’s competitiveness. Indeed, this well-known recognition demonstrates the company’s commitment to responsible practices in areas such as environment, labour rights, ethics and sustainable procurement, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
- ARANIA ranks among the top 5% of companies rated by EcoVadis in the forging, pressing, stamping and roll forming of metal.
- The sustainability performance assessment covers a wide range of categories, including 21 indicators across 4 thematic groups: environment, labour practices and human rights, business ethics and sustainable procurement (supply chain).
- ARANIA has obtained an overall score of 77/100 in its sustainability performance overview, i.e. more than 25 points over the average of the rated companies by EcoVadis.
- Each company is assessed on the material aspects corresponding to its size, location and branch of activity.
- Positive outcomes of the EcoVadis Gold Medal: enhanced market positioning, improvement of supply chain management, targeting of improvement opportunities.
To illustrate the good practices that have enabled ARANIA to achieve the EcoVadis Gold Medal status, we can mention the efficiency of carbon management within the company.
ARANIA has calculated its Organisational Carbon Footprint and Product Carbon Footprint in accordance with the ISO 14064 and ISO 14067 standards, which are subsequently certified by an external company.
This not only allows us to keep an accounting of the emissions produced, but also to establish an effective decarbonisation plan.
One of ARANIA’s main priority is to develop its production processes using renewable energies and to promote self-consumption in the manufacturing plant.
