Arania, S.A. obtains ISO 45001 Certification
Arania S.A. has achieved ISO 45001 Certification after successfully passing an exhaustive audit that attests the company’s best practices in its Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ensuring and consolidating proactive measures in the prevention of occupational risks for all its employees.
This standard replaces the previous OHSAS 18001, and therefore provides a reference framework for reducing the number of work accidents and preventing injuries as well as the deterioration of workers’ health, guaranteeing safe and healthy workplaces by eliminating dangers and minimising risks. The application of effective preventive measures will allow us to take advantage of opportunities and improve our performance.
To this end, certain aspects are strengthened, such as leadership and participation, the need for planning and hazard identification as well as risk assessment for occupational safety and health, operation and performance evaluation, along with continuous process improvement.
Besides, ISO 45001 adopts the same structure as other standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, which makes it possible to use the same terminology, convey trust, ensure successful communication between stakeholders and, ultimately, achieve the integration of management systems while reducing costs and increasing added value.
